I returned to this intuitive way of painting during a retreat in Atlanta, during a time of deep personal loss. What began as an experiment became a way to move through grief and reconnect with something sacred.
These pieces aren’t traditional stories.
They’re windows. Memories. Meditations.
Thank you for being here.
I hope something in this work resonates with something in you.
Non-Objective Paintings
This body if work Is different
It doesn’t start with a plan or image—it begins with feeling.
A quiet tuning in.
Whatever’s stirring beneath the surface finds its way to the canvas.
Still Waters
60x60
Acrylic on gallery-wrap canvas
You know the saying: still waters run deep. The quieter the surface, the deeper the truth underneath.
This piece came to life on the second-to-last day of the retreat. At first, I thought I knew where it was headed. I had a vision for it—but the painting had other plans. Once I got out of the way, it showed me where it wanted to go.
Even though it’s square, it kept pulling me toward the horizontal. Calm. Expansive. Unexpected.
The soft greens, warm reds, and amber tones feel soothing, but there’s movement too—an energy beneath the surface. A quiet confidence.

Summer Lovin’
60x60
Acrylic, pastel on gallery-wrap canvas
Ahh… this one brings back memories of youth. Do you remember your first kiss? Trips to the beach? Endless summer days with no responsibilities? That feeling of being completely free, when your parents were the greatest thing in the world and life felt wide open.
This piece carries that energy—carefree joy, curiosity, and a touch of nostalgia. A little chaotic, a little sweet. Like summer.

Windows To The Soul
60x50
Acrylic on paper (unframed)
This one began as a simple exercise in value—exploring light and dark, contrast and depth. But it quickly became something more.
As it evolved, I started to feel like I was looking through a stained glass window. It took on a kind of cathedral energy—quiet, reverent, soul-resonant. Like stepping into church, where colorful light spills through stained glass, painting everything it touches.
It stirred memories from my youth… the ritual, the awe, the stillness.
A sense of something larger.
Something sacred.
